Why does the Institute use a pop-up store model?
A pop-up store allows us to offer a curated selection of high-quality items without carrying year-round inventory. This approach ensures:
- Lower costs for members and attendees
- Less waste, as items are produced only when ordered
- Access to exclusive, limited-run merchandise tied to events like The National Conference
- Sustainable production, since we avoid overstocking or unused goods
It also lets us refresh our collection seasonally - so each pop-up feels new, relevant, and exciting.
Are clothing items returnable?
No. All clothing items are final sale.
Because apparel is decorated to order, clothing cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged once purchased. Please review size charts carefully before placing your order.
Can I exchange a clothing item for a different size?
Unfortunately, exchanges are not available for clothing.
Every apparel item is custom produced specifically for your order, so we cannot accept returns or process size changes after the purchase is submitted.
Why does clothing take longer to ship?
All apparel is custom-decorated after the pop-up store closes, ensuring your items are made specifically for you.
Clothing orders require 6–8 weeks for production, decoration, and shipping.
This made-to-order model supports sustainability and reduces waste.
When will non-clothing items ship?
Most non-apparel items ship shortly after you place an order, depending on warehouse availability and order volume. Specific timelines will be included on the order confirmation page.
Can I purchase items after the pop-up closes?
Pop-up store items are available for a limited time only. Once the store closes, merchandise may not be restocked - so we encourage purchasing during the open window to avoid missing out.
Will there be future pop-up stores?
Yes! The Institute Boutique hosts pop-up stores tied to major events, including the National Conference, seasonal collections, and special initiatives.
Each pop-up features new items, fresh designs, and limited-edition products.
